From Glasgow

Take the A82 North via Loch Lomond and Crianlarich to Fort William, a handy stopping place. From Fort William, continue on the A82 through Spean Bridge. 13 miles (20km) beyond Spean Bridge you will cross a swing bridge over the canal. Take the first left, signposted KILFINNAN, BALMAGLASTER. Travel 1.5.miles (2.5km) along this road, which is single track with passing places and look down to your left. You will see 'A' framed wooden chalets, turn sharp left just after the chalets at the bottom of the hill, crossing over a cattle grid. Pass in front of the chalets with the Loch on your right, and follow the road into the boatyard car park.

Please try to arrive between 14.00 and 16.00. The boatyard closes at 17.30. If you expect to arrive later than this time, you must contact the boatyard in advance. Please remember that the roads through the Highlands can make your progress slow.

Distance from Glasgow, approx 130 miles.

From Inverness

take the A82 South to Fort Augustus, then on towards Invergarry, following the signs for Fort William. Approximately 3 miles(5km) south of Invergarry, 200 metres after The Well of the Seven Heads shop, take the road on the right signposted KILFINNAN and BALMAGLASTER.

Travel 1.5 miles(2.5km) along this road, which is single track with passing places, and look down to your left. You will see 'A' framed wooden chalets, turn sharp left at the bottom of the hill just after the chalets crossing over a cattle grid. Pass in front of the chalets with the loch on your right, and follow the road into the boatyard car park.

Please try to arrive between 1400 and 1600hrs. The boatyard closes at 17.30hrs. If you expect to arrive later than this please contact the boatyard in advance. Remember that the roads through the Highlands can make your progress slow.

Distance from Inverness, approx. 45 miles

Allow plenty of time during peak holiday times - some of the roads are narrow and winding, but the scenery is very beautiful. Take your time and enjoy the journey !!
